PCB is the abbreviation of Printed Circuit Board, which is translated into Chinese as Printed Circuit Board. Since it is made by electronic printing, it is called "Printed Circuit Board".
PCB is an important electronic component in the electronic industry. It is the supporting body of electronic components and the carrier of electrical connection of electronic components.
PCB has been widely used in the production and manufacture of electronic products. Its unique features are summarized as follows:
1. High density, small size and light weight of wiring are conducive to the miniaturization of electronic equipment.
2. Due to the repeatability and consistency of the graphics, errors in wiring and assembly are reduced, and maintenance, debugging and inspection time of the equipment are saved.
3. It is conducive to mechanization and automation of production, improving labor productivity and reducing the cost of electronic equipment.
4. The design can be standardized to facilitate exchange.
PCBA is the abbreviation of Printed Circuit Board +Assembly, that is to say, PCBA is the whole process through the SMT on the empty Board of PCB and the DIP plug-in.
Note: SMT and DIP are both ways to integrate parts on the PCB board. The main difference is that SMT does not need to drill holes on the PCB, and the PIN PIN of the part needs to be inserted into the drilled holes in the DIP.
The SMT (Surface Mounted Technology) Surface mount Technology mainly USES the patch assembly to attach some micro and small parts to the PCB board. The production process is as follows: PCB plate positioning, printing solder paste, paste assembly, back welding furnace and manufacturing inspection.
The DIP is a "plug-in," which is the insertion of a part on the PCB version, which is a part that is larger in size and is not suitable for pasting.
Its main production processes are: adhesives, plug-ins, inspection, wave soldering, brush and inspection.
Differences between PCB and PCBA
As can be seen from the above introduction, PCBA generally refers to a processing process, which can also be understood as finished PCB. PCBA can only be counted after all the processes on the PCB are completed.
A PCB is an empty printed circuit board with no parts.
Generally speaking, PCBA is the finished board.
