Using LED lighting is in line with the development trend and trend of energy saving. LED is a light-emitting diode, it is not energy-saving lamps, fluorescent tubes, but its brightness is 5 to 6 times that of ordinary lamps. Because of this, LED lighting is becoming the general trend of energy-saving lighting.
The European Union stipulates that starting from September 1, 2009, all supermarkets are not allowed to sell incandescent light bulbs, nor are they allowed to sell high-voltage fluorescent light bulbs, but only LED lights. Then, how will China develop next? Is it still vigorously promoting energy-saving lamps, or is it actively developing LED lighting? To be honest, energy-saving lamps and LEDs are not energy-efficient, and a large amount of mercury is used in the manufacturing process of energy-saving lamps. As we all know, Mercury has a great impact on the human body and the environment. In particular, the disposal of end-of-life energy-saving lamps will cause a lot of pollution to the environment.
LED lighting energy-saving effect is very obvious, according to relevant information, if China's LED lighting accounted for 1/3 of the entire lighting market, then the annual savings of two Yangtze River Three Gorges hydroelectric power station generating capacity.
At present, all countries in the world have attached great importance to the development and utilization of LEDs. NEC has developed and marketed a new kind of LED light bulb whose shape is similar to the current general incandescent light bulbs and is rapidly spreading to ordinary families. AT&S, Austria's world-famous manufacturer of printed circuit boards, is actively developing LED printed circuit boards and intends to use these types of printed circuit boards as its future pillar products. Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. has developed CEM-3 copper clad laminates that are suitable for high heat dissipation of LEDs for 2 to 3 years and have been demonstrated at "CPCASHOW".
At present, the Korean government is implementing a plan to replace street lamps with LED lighting. The Korean Electronic Circuit Industry Association KPCA took the lead in the world to standardize the use of printed circuit boards for LEDs and set up a working group for printed circuit boards for LEDs. It is hurrying to develop this standard and promoting the standardization of printed circuit boards for LEDs.
The Japanese Electronic Circuit Industry Association (JPCA) has released the "JPCA-TMC-LED01S electronic circuit board standard for high-brightness LEDs" and "JPCA-TMC-LED02T electronic circuit board test method for high-brightness LEDs" developed by the Association this year.
LED printed circuit boards are not what some of us think of as PCBs based on metal-based (aluminum) copper clad laminates, but based on different applications, some use general FR-4, FR-5, CEM-3, and scratch. Polyimide plates, some using thermal vias with a resin substrate, a high thermal conductivity of the resin substrate, and some use metal-based substrate, metal core substrate, ceramic substrate.
We have always talked about the adjustment of product structure, and the characteristics of LED energy saving will inevitably become a very important industry in China. LED lighting is widely used and has a huge market. It will not only have a huge impact on China's energy conservation and consumption reduction, but also will provide a huge market for our printed circuit industry.
