Among them, the proportion of the three major raw materials accounts for more than 70%, and its price is a key factor affecting the cost of the CCL.

Since the equipment for producing high-quality copper foils, especially key components, needs to be imported and the cycle length is long, the expansion of copper foil production capacity is not only a large investment, but also has an average cycle of at least one year or more, and the capacity growth capacity is slow. According to data from the China Electronic Materials Association, global copper foil production capacity and production have been slowly increasing in recent years, with production capacity increasing from 548,000 tons in 2010 to 650,000 tons in 2016, with an average annual growth of 2.41%, and output increased from 398,000 tons to 50.6 tons. Ten thousand tons, with an average annual growth rate of 4.08%. According to the statistics of the Electronic Copper Foil Association, the domestic copper foil production capacity and output increased from 209,900 tons and 161,300 tons in 2010 to 399,000 tons and 291,600 tons in 2016, respectively, with an average annual growth rate of 11.30%. 10.37%, the growth rate is significantly higher than the global level.
Currently, copper foils can be classified into three types: standard copper foils for PCBs, lithium-copper foils, and copper foils for other applications. As the vigorous development of the new energy automotive industry has increased the demand for lithium-ion copper foil, the supply and demand side of copper foil has been in a tight situation since mid-2016, when the total capacity of copper foil cannot be rapidly expanded. At the same time, due to the large differences in production equipment and processes between lithium-based copper foils and standard copper foils, standard copper foils for electronics require high product precision, but lithium-copper foils have higher profits than PCB standard copper foils. The copper foil was converted to the lithium power industry, and the new production capacity continued to be biased towards lithium-based copper foil. The overall price of the copper foil was changed from the lithium-based copper foil to a comprehensive price increase. The rapid increase in the price of standard copper foil under short-term supply-demand imbalances has pushed up the cost of manufacturing copper clad laminates.
